Immediately after our AGM we will hold our Autum conference where the speakers will be  Nick Greene and Michael Paulin.

Nik Greene

Nik Greene spent most of his early life on a farm in the English county of Norfolk but eventually moved to the East end of London to ‘seek his fortune’ after finishing a 4 year apprenticeship as a Carpenter and Joiner

Having spent these early years running his own business and working on many projects including the rebuilding of Hampton Court and Windsor Castle after its fires he now spends a great deal of his time in France from where he has travelled to attend today’s conference. He has numerous interests and is passionate about automobiles and frequently writes about them.

Whilst still living in the UK full time, he fostered then adopted 2 children. During this time he also worked extensively with mentally and physically handicapped children and adults, most with very challenging behavioural problems this eventually led to him “exercising his academic side” and doing an Open University degree in Psychology and then Criminology,

Nic is author of  Falsely Accused; Guilty until proven innocent which has been described as an unforgettable true story of a man trying to clear his name after one of his adopted daughters accused him of sexual assault shortly after the family moved to France. When the examining magistrate said to him “I am going to make it my mission to put you in prison for many year she meant it. Nic was subsequently sent to prison but determined to clear his name.

I’ll leave Nick to explain how he fared. Suffice to say that False Accusations has received rave reviews on Amazon and that Nic was winner of a National Indie Book Award for first time writers.

It will be very interesting to see how the justice system in France which is more inquisitorial than adversarial fares with the British system of justice?
