Get Involved - Introduction
F.A.C.T. is a voluntary organisation and relies upon the support of its members and supporters to function. We have heavy agenda of work to do and a long campaign ahead of us. We need your support to continue. You can help by giving, lobbying, volunteering or becoming a member or by helping with any of the following tasks.
- admin support including proof reading
- assisting with the development of the web site
- attending prison vigils
- being part a special interest groups eg data retrival, prison/parole, employment matters etc
- conference admin, catering
- collecting local newpaper articles and sending them to the secretary
- contributing news items or articles to FACTion and/or web site
- fund raising
- giving press interviews (radio, TV, newspapers, journals and magazines)
- helping to man the help line
- joining a regional group
- lobbying Government Ministers/Agencies (mostly by writing to them)
- monitoring child protection policy developments
- researching Government policy, guidance etc
- responding to requests from research students
